Your Housing Officer

Stuart Cant is the Lyng Community Association’s new housing officer. He is the first port of call for residents for a range of responsibilities, including:

• dealing with any estate issues, from untidy gardens to rubbish bins

• investigating tenancy breaches and reports of anti-social behaviour

• attending residents’ group meetings

• engaging with residents to see what they want on the estate

•dealing with vacant properties, lettings and carrying out ‘welcome visits’ for all new tenants

• running housing surgeries at the LCA office

• providing information to residents

Stuart also spends  time dealing with rent arrears, helping with Housing Benefit enquiries and dealing with tenancy related debts such as recharges and former tenant debts.
